How To Get A Spike In Recruits Without Prospecting The Wrong People On Social Media

Now, before I share the strategy I discovered that gets a spike in recruits without prospecting the wrong people...

Let me share some of the prospecting mistakes I did on social media that kept me stuck and which you may resonate with....

  • Tagging and adding people to Facebook Groups without ever asking permission
  • Obsessively posting before and after pictures on my timeline (making it look like a salesy billboard)
  • In-boxing strangers with unsolicited links about my company and sending awkward copy and paste messages to strangers.

Ain't kidding you!

No wonder why I wasn't recruiting anyone, yet rejection was my best friend.

In fact, It got so BAD...

One day my best friends ended up blocking me on Facebook and sent me a message saying... 

"Pedro what the hell are you doing posting your spammy products on my timeline?"

I didn't know what to say...

Frankly, there was nothing to say besides apologizing and...

That was when I realized I needed to change my prospecting approach because what I was doing was NOT working.

Interestingly, a few days earlier my wife had mentioned to me this... 

"Pedro the little time you have available to spend with us 'family' you're always on that damn phone trying to talk to people on social media about your business yet no none is signing -up... Don't you think that's a clue that what you're doing isn't working?"

Apparently, I should've listened to my wife instead of my upline... LOL

I would've avoided spoiling personal relationships which have never been the same.

Although a few years have passed...

I still see most uplines teaching their teams an OLD SCHOOL approach of building a business online (hopefully you're not one of them)...

...and it's repelling good prospects.

So if you're anything like me and you find yourself getting no results...

...or worse, getting people back lashing and ignoring you than...

I got good news for you...


Now, I'm not saying you should get off social media and go back to the old school way with home parties...

  • 3 way calls
  • hotel and coffee shop meetings
  • or bugging friends and family

In my experience prospecting (online or offline), which even when done correctly… can still feel awkward, resulting in people getting angry at you and very unleveraged.

Although, growing your business online the right way isn't just possible today...

BUT it's also smart 🙂

Last year I recruited 73 serious builders into my business using this proven online strategy called attraction marketing.

But before I get into the nuts and bolts of the strategy...

Let me share with you the number one pitfall to avoid doing on social media so you can quickly recruit more people into your team...

So here it is...

People On Social Media Shouldn’t Figure Out which Company You’re With

Now I know this might be controversial and you may be thinking... "Why would I ever do that?" 

Here's a few reasons...

  • People join people who they know, like and trust and not companies.
  • Turning personal profiles into an annoying salesy billboard for your company is the fastest way to repel potential prospects and new team members.
  • You see, no one wants to be sold yet everyone wants to buy... 

Therefore, you want to be known as someone who can help people achieve their goals and solve a problem in their life...

Which means... You are a person of value instead of being salesy every time you're posting your company's branded pictures and logos, etc...

Furthermore, when you post stuff about your company & products, you are diminishing the role you play in the eyes of your potential team members...

The worse part is...

People can literally go search the company on Google without talking to you and buy the product from someone else or even join someone else.

By posting about your company, you are saying the company plays a bigger role in helping them than you do.

You’re just a sales person – an unimportant commodity – that they don’t need.

In fact, if you are perceived as a sales person, you are repelling your prospects!

They could read a bunch of negative stuff on Google and not want to talk to you.

Obviously, in a business that relies on trust and relationships, the prospect NEEDS YOU.

There is a time & place to talk about the company but that’s only when you present the product or opportunity to someone, not when you are prospecting or marketing in public.

All you need to do is create a little mystery and curiosity by focusing on what you can do for people or on how you can help them with.

Here's an example of a simple curiosity social media post...

...that gets qualified prospects asking for more information about my side gig...

And here's the interesting thing...

“When I Stopped Prospecting People, My Business Started Growing!”

I can’t tell you how relieved and at peace I felt when once again, I was able to go out with my friends, visit family member’s, taking my wife out to dinner or being at a public place without having to think who i was going to prospect next...

Just enjoying being normal again was incredible because after 4 years of being taught by my upline that 'everyone Is a prospect' and approaching every conversation with a hidden agenda, I was free!

That’s because it wasn’t until I STOPPED prospecting that my business actually started growing!

Weird, right?

At this point, you may be asking, “then how the hell did your business grow?”

Well before I answer that, I have to say that there are people who are very skilled prospectors and recruiters who completely disregard the issues I mentioned above.

They knowingly and without shame, approach every interaction with a stranger as a prospecting opportunity.

Getting yelled at or cursed out by prospects is no big deal, as long as some people say ‘yes.’

And just like doing it right offline, there’s a way to successfully do it online as well.

After learning and becoming very good at prospecting, I decided that I didn’t want to build my business this way.

The problem with prospecting in general, as it’s normally taught, is that the mindset going in, is still about what YOU want people to do and about manipulating people into doing what you want them to do.

In other words, it’s about YOU, not them.

I didn’t like that, but I still did it for a little while… until I did find a better way.

But the reason I was able to quit prospecting was because, with the help of some extraordinary mentors, I eventually discovered an online recruiting strategy, which…

...enabled me to recruit more people in 1 Day than the most skilled recruiter in the world can do in 1 month.

I was able to passively generate leads, customers and new team members – even when I was out having fun with my friends and family.

(Hence why I didn’t have to worry about prospecting them!)

Rather than spending hours spamming or private messaging people on social media...

...I learned how to legitimately get Facebook and other networks to actually help me attract the people who are most interested in what I have to offer, using their ads platform! (i.e. going legit!)

In fact, every day for the last 18 months now, I’ve awoken to an email inbox full of notifications for new leads, new customers, and / or new team members and commissions I earned while sleeping!

This strategy is called 'Attraction Marketing' 

Attraction Marketing is an internet marketing strategy designed for networkers and people in direct sales!

You see, if your business depends on you being on social media, sending private messages or commenting on people’s posts all day...

...you are NOT doing internet marketing despite what you may have been led to believe.

Online prospecting and internet marketing is NOT the same thing!

Internet marketing is a passive strategy, which works, even when you are not.
